Some ideas from other areas around the UK
Press release from Brandon Lewis MP. 3/9/10.

Coastal erosion remains a major problem for this constituency and without action we will loose lands, burinesses and homes to the sea in the years ahead. Chairing the recent Pathfinder meeting I was pleased to see that progress is being made, with the strong community involvement. Working with colleagues along the East Coast I have been arguing in Westminster, that we need that we need a joined up approach by Government Depts to tackle the looming threat. At my request the minister with direct responsibility for this issue has visited Great yarmouth to meet with affected residents.
Many people think this an issue that does not affect them. Even if our homes are in areas that we normally perceive to be unaffected if the coastline moves it will have an effect throughout Great Yarmouth and potentially wreak havoc to the local economy and infrastructure.
