Scratby Coastal Erosion Group - Norfolk
SCEG protecting Scratby's Coastline, Beaches and Cliffs
While we don't see Polar Bears off Scratby, they have become the symbol of the wildlife problems associated with climate change and global warming.
Are we going to have palm trees growing in Norfolk?
So what are we facing? Who knows....

Most scientists seem to agree that the earth faces a period of heat waves and periods of unusally hot weather with glaciers starting to melt faster than expected. The same has started with the Arctic and Antartic warming. What could be happen?

Ocean Warming - Sea-level rising - Coastal Erosion - Coastal Flooding.
Global Warming Climate Change
Norfolk and Suffolk also suffer from rising sea levels due to the tilt of the UK downwards on the Eastern side causing rising of sea levels of between 0.4 and 0.7 millimetres per year.
Quote Durham University Sea-level Research Unit.

Additionally because of global warming we expect Norfolk will suffer from rising sea levels which will affect the coastline and cause additional beach erosion together with cliff damage and possible flooding. To protect the coastline and the Norfolk Broads Government must come up with a scheme to protect both!
